Born Dec. 4, 1932 in Greene County, he was the son of Ernest and Elizabeth (Foddrill) Workman.
He was a self employed carpenter in the area for many years and also Owned Sanford & Son Antique Shop in Solsberry. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Betty Workman of Bloomfield; four daughters, Bobbie Holtsclaw and Peggy Doyle both of Bloomfield, Christie Tudor of Stilesville, and Angie Stambaugh of Springville; seven brothers, Dewey Workman of Franklin, Ivan Workman of Lyons, Vernon Workman and Paul Workman both of Redding, Calif., Jerry Workman of Florida, Kenneth Workman of Springville and Glen Workman of Bloomington; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Doyle, one brother, Bernard Workman and his parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Solsberry Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one-hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
