Bobby J. Crosier, 72, of Linton, went to be with the Lord at 6:18 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at his residence. He was the first baby born in Harrison County, Indiana, on Jan. 1, 1939, the son of James & Catherine Crosier. Bobby retired from Jackson Brothers Lumber Company in 2003 in Linton. He was an avid reader of American history and he enjoyed traveling with his family. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He attended trade school to be a lumber inspector and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post 22 of Linton.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Priscilla (Whitaker) Crosier; his father, James Crosier of Corydon; daughters Debra (David) Davidson and Jennifer (Brian) White, both of Linton; grandchildren Zachary Davidson & Emma White; his father, James Crosier of Corydon; three brothers, Carlton (Mary) Crosier of Laconia; Allen (Lorna) Crosier of Elizabeth; and Roger (Terry Emrick) Crosier of Elizabeth and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry Crosier; his mother, Catherine Crosier; and a brother, Warren Kent Crosier.

The first visitation will be held at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, 318 E. Chestnut St., Corydon, Ind. 47112, on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A second visitation will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.., and on Friday from noon until the time of service.

A funeral service will be conducted at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2011, with Rev. David Tyra officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to Riley Children's Hospital through the funeral home.
