Lula Sarah Stuffle, 99, of Raglesville, died at 9:50 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011 in Daviess County Hospital.
Stuffle, born in Chrisman, Ill., on Jan. 14, 1912, was the daughter of John Dowden and Pearl Hasler Stuffle Dowden.
She was the widow of Harold Stuffle Sr., whom she wed April 30, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She is survived by a son, Harold J. Stuffle and his wife Teresa, Jasper; a daughter, Betty Dowden and her husband Calvin, of Raglesville; her brother, Paul Dowden and his wife Helen of Carmel; six grandchildren: Steve Beasley, Judy Fuller, Mike Beasley, Larry Stuffle, David Stuffle and Richard Stuffle; 16 grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brothers Earl, Curtis and Otis Dowden, and a sistser, Mable Keck.
Stuffle was a member of the Frady United Methodist Church, where she had served as a ladies' aide, Sunday school teacher and cradle roll superintendent.
Funeral service with the Rev. Bill Talbort will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1 at the Frady United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Raglesville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at the Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home and Odon Chapel, and from 9 a.m. until service Thursday.
