* Dec. 4 -- LPD investigated a traffic accident at 4:02 a.m. at 630 E. Vincennes Street. A 1990 Oldsmobile passenger car driven by William J. Poe, 29, of Route 3, Linton, traveling east had collided with a FedEx truck that was parked on the north side of the street -- facing west.

Poe told police that he "had a sneezing fit" and lost control of his car.

After failing a field sobriety test, it was determined that the driver of the car, Poe, had been drinking and he faces a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Poe submitted to a blood draw and then was taken to the Greene County Jail.

Damage to both vehicles was estimated to be up to $25,000, according to LPD officer Thomas Jerrells.

* Dec. 3 -- LPD officers were called to the Palace Bar about 3:20 p.m. following a complaint about several customers who refused to leave the business when requested to by management. Officer Brock Garrison spoke with three individuals. Two of the individuals -- Glenn E. Damron, 49, and Elisha R. Damron, 24, both of Linton -- were asked several times to stop yelling. When a ride arrived to escort the two home, they continued to yell loudly and cause a disturbance outside the bar in the street. They were arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to the county jail.

* Dec. 2 -- LPD officer Michael Watts conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of State Road 54 and 12th Street NE for an equipment violation at about 10:30 p.m. The driver, Leslie Clayton, 47, of rural Sullivan, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
