LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department log for Dec. 6 included: One personal injury traffic accident; one report of a prowler; one domestic battery case; one extra patrol; and one ordinance violation.

* Dec. 6 -- LPD worked a personal injury traffic accident at 6:51 p.m. on State Road 54W, about 400 feet west of Tomak Avenue.

A 1996 Buick, driven by 48-year-old Danean Coffey, of Linton, was traveling west on State Road 54 and told police that she saw a yellow-colored dog run across the road and she hit her brakes to avoid hitting the animal. A 1999 Buick, driven by 19-year-old Abbey E. Stamm, of rural Linton, was following and when Coffey hit her brakes, she could not avoid hitting the back of her vehicle, according to the accident report. Coffey complained of neck pain and was transported to the Greene County General Hospital emergency room with a non-incapaciating injury.
