Arnold R. "Bill" Lehman, 84, of Bloomfield passed away Sunday, Dec. 11 at the Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born Aug. 22, 1927 in Greene County, the son of Alvin R. and Letha (Bateman) Lehman.
Bill was retired from Social Security Administration as an Operation Analyst. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the Bloomfield First Baptist Church, Linton Elks Lodge and the Bloomfield American Legion Post No. 196.
Surviving relative include his children Jeanne Marie Arthur and John R. Lehman. both of Bloomfield; two grandchildren Joetta M. Bland of Bloomfield and Jeanette Louise Frazier of Tampa, Fla.; two great grandchildren Yumi Marie Frazier of Tampa, Florida and Gretchen Bland of Bloomfield; one sister Geraldine McIntire of Ellettsville; and three brothers A.J. Lehman of Columbus, Ind., and Nigel Lehman and Harry Lehman, both of Linton.
He was preceded in death by his wife Gretchen (Lynch) Lehman on May 14, 2004; one brother Alfred G. Lehman, and three sisters Lois Strickland, Phyllis Fuller and Loetta Lehman.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 10 a.m. Thursday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons with Bloomfield American Legion having graveside military honors.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
