Georgia Virginia Heshelman

Georgia Virginia Heshelman, 93, of Elnora, Ind., passed away at 8:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2011 at Bell Trace Health Center.

Born July 20, 1917 in Martin County, Ind. to William Edward and Edna (Williams) Swayze, Heshelman was a homemaker and the widow of Palmer Heshelman.

Heshelman is survived by a sister, Doris Long of Odon; a son and daughter-in-law, Garry and Janet Heshelman of Bloomfield; a daughter, Donna Heshelman of Brownsburg; five grandchildren: Doug Heshelman, Marcy Cook, Marta Young, Tonya Bess and Jennifer Kindig; and 11 great-grandchildren: Laura, Adam, Nate and Garrett Bess; Ross, Grace, Alex and Andrew Kindig; Farrah and Arthur Young; and Eleanor Cook.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Donald Swayze.

She was a member of the Elnora Christian Church. She also was a member of the Southern Indiana Doll Club, the White River Valley Antique Association, the Daviess County Fair Women's Department and an organizer of the Daviess County Fair's Baby Show for 40 years.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at he Poindexter-Hall and McClure Odon Chapel and from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at the Elnora Christian Church on Wednesday, Dec. 14,

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heshelman Memorial Building, care of the White River Valley Antique Association.
