Donetta Kay Mattox, 71, of Loogootee, died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at Martin County Health Care and Rehab Center in Loogootee.
Born Jan. 7, 1940, in Linton, she was the daughter of Elmo and Betty (Jerells) Tincher.
A 1958 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, she was retired after working 19 years with Farm Bureau Insurance in Loogootee. She was a member of Loogootee United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Mattox, whom she married May 27, 1958; her mother, Betty Tincher of Linton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie and Sandra Mattox of Avon and Douglas and Denise Mattox of Brownsburg; one sister, Carole Brewer of Linton; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her father, Elmo Tincher.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Loogootee United Methodist Church.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Brocksmith Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
