He was born on July 4, 1984 in Princeton, the son of Everrett J. Stephens and Laura A. (Bedwell) Cochran.
He married Michele Peeler on Nov. 23, 2010 in Olney, Ill.
He was a union carpenter with Local 546 and he was of the Christian faith. He was also an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.
He is survived by his wife, Michele Stephens, Olney, Ill.; a son, Dominic Stephens, of Noble, Ill.,; his father, Everrett J. Stephens, Shelburn; his mother, Laura A. Cochran and step father, Clifford of Olney, Ill.; beloved step father, Clarence "Mac" McCombs and wife, Sandy, of Marco; a sister, Nicole Patten and husband Roy of Vincennes; brothers, Eric Stephens of Olney, Ill., and Kris Stephens and wife, Stacey, of Olney, Ill.; half-sisters, Kayla Stephens, Kelly Stephens, and Kaitlyn Stephens all of Shelburn, and January Dawn Willis of Sullivan; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews whom he adored.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Edith Stephens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney, Ill.
Funeral service will be at noon Central Standard Time (CST) on Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Park.
