Born Dec. 3, 1923 in Switz City, she was the daughter of Ora and Elsie (Day) Scott.
She and her husband, Claude Foster, Jr. farmed the family's land. She was a member of Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church and the Junior Mrs. Club in Lyons.
Surviving relatives include: two granddaughters, Michelle Martin and Claudia Ball (Cory) both of Lyons; two sisters, Betty Clayton of Indianapolis and Shirley Johnson of LaPorte; sister-in-law's, Ardith Scott of Linton and Betty Scott of Bedford; her great-grandchildren, Ashlee Richards, Jarrett Richards, Emma Richards, Austin Ball, Alex Ball and Avery Ball; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Foster, Jr. on June 27, 2002; one daughter, Diane Sue Martin; one infant daughter, Pamela Sue; sisters, Wilma Jean Stout and Geneva Newsom; brothers, Lloyd Scott and Bill Scott and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church, with Rev. Nikki Marker officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery near Lyons.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Lyons and one-hour prior to services Friday at the church.
