Winter Weather Advisory issued by NWS

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service in Indianapolis for Greene and Sullivan counties as well as most of central/southern Indiana. The advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday. There is a chance of freezing rain and sleet after 2 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 29. Wind chill values as low as zero. East wind between 7 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Tonight, expect freezing rain and sleet before 1 a.m., then a chance of snow. Low around 21. East southeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.2 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
