He was born Oct. 7, 1956 to Clark V. and Ardella M. (Branch) Blackwell in Daviess Co. On May 5, 2000, Mark married Cindra Lou Scott.
Mark was a member of Sandborn United Methodist Church. He was a diesel/auto mechanic. His hobbies included playing music, fishing motorcycle riding, collect antiques and hunting arrowheads.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Blackwell of Edwardsport; his father, Clark (Beverly) Blackwell, of Lockwood, Mo.; one son, Mark Adam Blackwell, of Edwardsport; daughters, Brandy George of Martinsville and Sandra Ann Stuffel of Elnora; grandchildren, Alexa, Morgan, Aurora, Dean; niece, Amy (Dan) DeLaney, of Fort Wayne; sister, Gwen Anderson (Dennis Collins), of Boonville; cousin, Wendy Blackwell, of St. Francisville, Ill.; grandnieces and nephews, Aileen, Brigit, Emmett and Collum. Mark was also survived by three uncles.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents and mother Ardella.
A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 with the Rev. Maurice Roll officiating. Interment will follow at Sandborn Cemetery. There will be no public viewing at the funeral home. A memorial celebration is schedule for 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Jennie Mae Center at 114 S. Franklin Street in Bicknell. There will be food, music and fellowship, and friends are invited.
Memorial contributions may be made to Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home to use as family wishes.
