Rosalie M. "Rosie" Verseman, 75, of Linton, passed from this life Feb. 18, 2012, at her residence.
She was a life-long resident of Linton, born Feb. 6, 1937, to William J. and Belle (Fowler) Currans. On April 27, 1956, she was united in marriage with Robert E. Verseman and they had three children.
Rosie was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and St. Ann's Alter Society. She loved being a homemaker; however, she found time to work outside of the home as well. She was head of housekeeping at Glenburn Home and later worked as a stock person at the Linton Wal-Mart. She retired in 2004. Rosie enjoyed working with flowers, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two sons: Robert Joseph (Michelle) Verseman of Terre Haute, and Keith Alan Verseman of Linton; one daughter Kathy Campbell of Linton; two grandchildren: Betsy and Dalton Verseman; a sister Patty Currans of Richmond, KY; and a brother Joe Currans of Indianapolis, IN.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Verseman (9/5/2004), one brother, Bill Currans, and three sisters: Katie James, Janie Griffith, and Agnes Brinson.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Linton Community Food Pantry or the American Cancer Society, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the St. Peter Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Madden officiating. Interment will follow at the Switz City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4-8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 20 with the Rosary Recitation at 7 p.m.
