Molestation: Victim and mother say prayer was important as they approached the trial

This is the second in a series of stories candidly talking with one of the victims and a parent involved in the State vs. Randell Vandeventer child molesting case that ended Feb. 16 with three guilty verdicts. The 51-year-old Vandeventer will be sentenced March 14 in Greene Superior Court for his conviction on three counts of child molesting -- all class C felonies. They will tell the emotional story of their decision to come forth and testify against Vandeventer for the acts that were committed while the male victim attended the Tiny Town Daycare Center in Switz City owned by Vandeventer. In accordance with the policy of this newspaper, the names of the victim and mother will be keep confidential.
