James Steven Eaton, 67, of Bloomfield, passed away at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Methodist hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 12, 1944 in Linton, he was the son of Leslie Joe (Bus) and Wilma Ruth (Underwood) Eaton.
He was an electronic technician for NSWC Crane, retiring in 1999 after 25 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the Crane VFW and Elnora American Legion.
Surviving relatives include: his mother, Wilma R. Eaton of Columbus; two brothers, Jerry Eaton of Columbus and John Eaton of Solsberry; two sons, Bryan Hudson of Martinsville and Bill Hudson of Solsberry; his ex-wife, Sara J. Eaton of Elnora; stepson, William and Brooke Mullis of Newberry; one stepdaughter, Candy and Kevin Bush of Washington; grandchildren, Brittany Mullis, Bodey Mullis, Justin Bush, Austin Bush and Tyler Scott.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Joe (Bus) Eaton in 1999.
Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the hour of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
