She was the daughter of Jesse Brown Padgett and Emma Jane (Hamilton) Padgett.
Madge was a homemaker. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Scotland United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Earl Junior Haywood, whom she cherished and married 61 years ago on Dec. 24, 1950; one son, Fred (Peggy) Haywood of Nashville, Ind.; one daughter, Anneita (Jerry) Vandeventer of Bloomfield; one granddaughter, Cris (Mike) Floyd of Bloomfield; four grandsons, Joseph (Brittany) Haywood of Vincennes, Jacob Haywood of Bloomfield, Shawn (Megan) Toon of Bloomfield and Eric (Katie) Toon of Newberry; five great, grandhchildren, Noah and Emma Floyd, Mya Toon, Harlan Haywood and Chloe Toon; one brother, Jack (Kathy) Padgett and one sister Floella (Herman) Walters of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Vernon Padgett and Alvin Padgett, and three sisters, Verneice Summerville, Kathleen King and Oneita Alexander.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Bob Bruner officiating. Interment will follow in Scotland cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and one hour prior to service Friday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the Scotland United Methodist Church.
