Nada Grace Petit, 91, of Jasonville, passed away at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in Greene County General Hospital at Linton.
She was born Dec. 22, 1920 in Jasonville, to James Elmer Kennett and Nellie Olive (Pirtle) Kennett.
Nada was married to Leo Petit and he passed away on July 14, 1981.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathleen Livers of Jasonville and Muriel Lynn Petit of Jasonville; sons, Keith and Sherry Petit of Toledo, OH, and Larry Petit of Jasonville; grandchildren, Lisa Bartja, Leahann and Steve Mize, Angela Petit, Olivia and Joe Jerrell, Jessee Petit, Keith Petit, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Garrett Bartja, Alycia Bartja, Jada Grace Huff, Alayna Mize, Brooklyn Stone, Brianna Petit, Braedon Petit; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Helen Barton, Muriel Haley, Lucian Kennett, Pirtle Kennett, Maxine Dalton, Lyle Kennett.
Nada was a homemaker, a wonderful mother, grandmother and devoted her life to the needs of others.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street in Jasonville with visitation scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor David Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville.
