She was born Oct. 23, 1917 in Anderson, the daughter of Winnie and Myrtle (Fowler) Haegele.
She worked for 30 years at Glenburn Home in Linton and retired as head dietician.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia (Bob) Padgett and Mildred (Wendell) Angleton, both of Linton; two sons, Bill Watson of Linton and Jack (Jean) Watson of Madisonville, Ky.; two sisters, Beverly Downs and Loretta Hoffee, both of Fairfield, Ill.; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Joseph Watson on April 15, 1968, a great-great-grandson, Adam, a sister, Wanda Bryan, and two brothers, John and Richard Haegele.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 23 at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton with James Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, and at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
