Karen Sue Gardner, 58, of Linton, passed away at 3:40 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center at Jasonville.
She was born Feb. 12, 1954 in Greene County to Elmer E. Fulford and Floe E. (Steele) Fulford.
Karen married Earl L. Gardner, Jr. on Sept. 16, 1977 and he passed away on Nov. 11, 2011.
Survivors include her children, Earl L. and Sonya Gardner III of Lyons, Matthew Gardner of Bloomfield, Lautasha Gardner of Missouri, Tony Gardner of Linton, Tamara Parshall of Missouri; grandchildren, Taylor Gardner, Stacia Parshall, Branden Parshall, Tabitha Gardner, Ethen Gardner, Andrew Gardner, J.D. and Amy Parshall; great-granddaughter, Peyton Parson; sisters, Barbara Earle of Washington, IN and Marsha and Jack Williams of Dugger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, David Fulford.
She managed a convenience store, cleaned homes and was a homemaker.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Stephens Cemetery in Lewis with Rev. Curtis Mitchell officiating.
