She was born Sept. 20, 1943 in Martinsville, the daughter of Marvin and Vera (Veller) Canada.
She was a homemaker and attended many churches in Greene and Sullivan counties. She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1961, and she graduated into the Cheerful Heart Chapter of Smiles Unlimited Clown Ministry on Jan. 27, 1992, and was known as "Spunky the Clown."
Survivors include a daughter, Paula (Roger) Walton-Sanders of Linton; four sons, Scott Walton of Midland, Brian (Kellie) Walton of Dugger, Marvin Walton of Linton, and Chris (Angela) Walton of Linton; nine grandchildren, John (Jenny) Mason, Mollie (Derek) Girten, Perry Walton, Philbert Wright, Cody Walton, Tyiana Sisk, Michael Walton, Christopher Walton, and Bobbie Walton; eight great-grandchildren, and her former husband, Robert Walton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael Canada.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27 at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton with the Rev. Gerald DeVore officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon on Tuesday until the hour of the service.
