He was born Nov. 2, 1933, in Jasonville, the son of Miles and Edith Rogers.
Jack was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ for over 50 years. In 1954, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force. When he returned to the states, he was stationed at Lincoln, Neb. at a Strategic Air Command base.
On May 1, 1957, Jack and Deneane Fisher were married. Jack worked for RCA in Bloomington for 23 years, retiring in 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Deneane Rogers, of Linton; three children, Sara (Tim) House, Randy (Paula Crosley) Rogers and Amy Sullivan, all of Linton; two brothers, Miles Rogers and Rick Rogers; two sisters, Phyllis Pittman and Alona Vandeventer; four grandchildren, Kammi (Jesse) Yeryar, Britanee House, Justin Rogers and Cody Shake; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles & Bob; and two sisters, Lenora and Betty.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton with Brother Orell Overman officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
