Phillip D. Rollins, 75, of Solsberry, passed away at 6:35 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born Feb. 16, 1937 in Solsberry, he was the son of Herschell E. and Helen Edith (Walters) Rollins.
He was a graduate of Solsberry High School and retired from RCA in Bloomington. He was a member of the Bloomfield Church of Christ. He served his country with the United States Army.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Patti (Droll) Rollins of Solsberry; two sons, Robert Rollins of Greencastle and Troy Rollins (Joyce) of Sherrard, Ill.; his grandchildren, Kara Rollins, Jeff Rollins, Zach Rollins and Courtland Harris; one sister, Judy Englebert of Milwaukee, Wis.; two sister-in-laws, Barbara Rowse and Carole Droll; three nephews and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Bloomfield Church of Christ, with Joshua Riggins officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield and one hour prior to services Friday at the Church.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
