She was born May 4, 1964 in Linton to Jim Yeryar and Shelia Weatherwax Yeryar.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Doug Griffith of Jasonville, whom she married on May 14, 1983; parents; Jim and Shelia Yeryar of Midland, daughter and son-in-law, Shea and Jay Boram of Linton; twin granddaughters, Jaedyn and Jordyn Boram; sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Todd Gambill; grandfather, James "Red" Yeryar of Midland; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as special friends, Bob and Charlene Mowery of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Margaret Weatherwax, and paternal grandmother, Laura Yeryar.
Cheri graduated from Shakamak High School with the Class of 1982, then from Indiana State University with a bachelor's degree, then from Wesleyan University in Indianapolis with a masters degree in education. She taught for 17 years at the Metropolitan School District of Shakamak; and attended and was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and El Shaddi Emmaus Community.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian St., Jasonville with visitation scheduled from 11 a.m until 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the Lebanon Baptist Church in Midland. Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 at the Lebanon Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Darr officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
