GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT JAIL LOG

* April 1 -- Travis K. Sutton, 29, of Indianapolis, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended with a prior conviction. Released after posting $1,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on April 20.

* March 31 -- Tina L. Turpin, 47, of rural Bloomfield, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. Released after posting $1,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on April 9.

* March 31 -- Nathan W. Giltner, 25, of Sullivan, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Released after posting $4,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on April 20.

* March 31 -- Joseph H. Dienstag, 43, of rural Linton, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on a body attachment writ. Released after posting $500 bond. Court date set for 8:15 a.m. on April 9.

* March 30 -- Sonya Johnson, 42, of Bedford, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a Lawrence County warrant. No bond set.

* March 30 -- Jason M. Hays, 31, of rural Bloomfield, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on preliminary charges of manufacturing methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine; and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. No bond set pending a court appearance.

* March 30 -- Shane Barnes, of rural Linton, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a warrant for theft. Bond set at $4,000. Court date set for 9 a.m. on April 4.

LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department log for March 30- April 1 included: Two trespassing; one breaking and entering; three information requests; two fights; one utility assist; two cases of vandalism; one sex offense/other; three civil complaints; two structure fires; one vehicle fire; one brush fire; three accidents with property damage; one funeral escort; one lost and found; two medical/illness; five alarms; one prowler; five suspicious persons; one assist to another agency; one harassment complaint; one child abuse/molestation/neglect; one disabled/stranded vehicle; one welfare check; one fingerprint for a gun permit; three arrests on warrant; one domestic dispute; two domestic/neighbor; one ordinance violation; one battery incident; and six traffic stops.

* March 30 -- Linton Police Officer Michael Watts served a warrant on Joseph Dienstag, 43, at RR 1 Box 650 in Linton for failure to appear. He was transported to Greene County Jail and his bond set at $500.

* March 31 -- Linton Police Officer Michael Watts conducted a traffic stop because a vehicle was traveling left of the center line and had an equipment violation. During the traffic stop the driver Watts determined the driver, Nathan Giltner, 26, of Sullivan, was intoxicated. He failed a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol level of .14 percent. Giltner was transported to Greene County Jail.

* April 1 -- Linton Police Officer Brock Garrison responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of 12th Street SE and State Road 54. Raymond Rogers was attempting to turn onto the highway at the traffic signal when his engine stalled. Ricky Lechien too close to the rear of Rogers' vehicle by the time he realized traffic had slowed. Lechien struck the rear of Rogers' vehicle.
