Born March 29, 1936 in Greene County, he was the son of Wayne and Virtue (Christy) Corlett.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Rogers and Crider & Crider in Bloomington. He was a member of Solsberry Masonic Lodge 411 and Local Union 841.
Surviving relatives include: His wife, Pamela Corlett of Solsberry; one daughter, Viki Wininger of Velpen; one adopted daughter, Brandi Corlett of Solsberry; one adopted son, Josh Corlett of Solsberry; brother, Jack Corlett of Shelbyville; sister, Sue Lindsay of Solsberry; his grandchildren, Adam, Cody, Gracelyn, Tracey, Angie, Justin, Keeja and Colton; six great-grandchildren; and step children, Eddie Corbin, Jr. and Tina Welton.
He was preceded in death by four sons, Ricky, Randy, Jimmy and Bill Corlett and his parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Greene County Chapel Cemetery in rural Solsberry.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and one hour prior to services Sunday at the funeral home.
