GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT JAIL LOG

April 16 -- Jason D. Cooper, 34, of Linton, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. Bond set at $1,000.

April 15 -- Tommy J. Gregory, 33, of Martinsville, was arrested by the Indiana State Police on a preliminary charge of invasion of privacy; possession of a controlled substance. No bond set pending a court appearance.

* April 15 -- Jeffrey S. Bays, 27, of rural Sullivan, was arrested by the Indiana State Police on a warrant charging him with battery. No bond set pending a court appearance.

* April 15 -- Shadric S. Jones, 32, of Worthington, was arrested by the Worthington Police Department on a preliminary charge of residential entry. Released after posting $4,000 bond. Court date set for 9:30 a.m. on April 20.

* April 15 -- Tina S. Grantham, 50, of Linton, was arrested by the Indiana State Police on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Released after posting $4,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on April 20.

* April 15 -- Noah A. Wurl, 18, of Altamont, Ill., was arrested by the Linton Police Department on a preliminary charge of theft. Bond set at $4,000.

* April 14 -- Kyle J. Bailey, 23, of Mitchell, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a warrant charging him with residential entry. Released after posting $5,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on April 20.

* April 14 -- Joshua Chesterfield, 29, of Linton, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a preliminary charge of theft. Bond set at $4,000.

* April 14 -- Randy E. Hughbanks, 24, of Linton, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a preliminary charge of theft. Bond set at $4,000.

* April 14 -- Leah M. Matthews, 29, of Linton, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a warrant charging her with check deception. Released after posting $5,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on April 20.

* April 14 -- Joshua W. Pittman, 32, of Linton, was arrested by the Indiana State Police on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction. Released after posting $8,000 bond. Court date set for 9:30 a.m. on April 20.

* April 13 -- Andrew W. Scott, 24, of Linton, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court. No bond set pending a court appearance.

LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department log for April 13-15 included: One illegal burn; one title check; four follow-up investigations; one information request; one lifting assistance; four juvenile delinquents; two utility assists after hours; two criminal mischief; one civil complaint; one brush fire; two accidents with property damage; two suicides and attempts; five medical/illnesses; three alarms; four animal complaints; four suspicious persons/vehicles; five assists to other agencies; one harassment complaint; one domestic battery; one possible intoxicated driver; one welfare check/concern; two domestic disputes; one shoplifting; two domestic/neighbor disputes; and eight traffic stops.

* Noah A. Wurl, 20, of Alamont, Ill., was arrested by Linton Police Department Officer Brock Garrison on Sunday preliminary charges of theft. Wurl was allegedly caught opening packages of game cards and concealing them in his clothing at Wal-Mart, and walked out of the store without paying for the items. He was taken into custody, transported to LPD for questioning and transported to Greene County Jail.

* Linton Police Department Det. Josh Goodman and Officer Michael Watts were dispatched to Dollar General West on Sunday evening regarding information Jeffery Scott Bays II, 27, of Sullivan, was at the location and had an active warrant. When officers arrived on the scene Bays was in the back seat of the vehicle and Mariea Ward, 23, of Linton, was in the driver's seat. Bays was arrested on the warrant and for violation of a protective order, and Ward was given a citation for never having received an operator's license.

* Linton Police Officer Debbie McDonald-Miller received reports Sunday morning a male was beating up a female. Miller observed the female and Jason D. Cooper, 34, of Linton, walking down Fourth Street. McDonald-Miller noted the female had red marks under her left eye. Cooper was transported to Greene County Jail on preliminary charges of domestic battery. Bond set at $3,000.

* Tina S. Grantham, 50, of Linton, was arrested by Indiana State Police Officer Richard Klun on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Grantham allegedly tried to turn around in the Linton Church of Christ parking lot, when her car got hung up on a tree. Klun arrived at the scene and determined she was intoxicated. Preliminary breath test showed her blood alcohol content (BAC) was .29 percent. Released after posting $4,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on April 20.
