Lucille Carvin, 89, of Odon, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday at Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville.
Born Oct. 10, 1922, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Charles and Ruby (Minks) Sullivan.
She retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane in 1992 after 30 years. A member of American Legion Women's Auxiliary, she enjoyed baking cookies and making candy, quilting, taking picture and genealogy study.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Jack Werne of Jasper, and Janet and John Jones of Charlottesville; a granddaughter, Sara Jones; special neighbors, the Corwin families of Odon; brothers and sister-in-law, Russell Sullivan and Donald and Betty Sullivan, all of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death in 1985 by her husband, Owen R. Carvin, whom she married May 20, 1950, her parents; and two brothers, Robert and Raymond Sullivan.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home, Odon Chapel, with Bro. Richard Smith officiating.
Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Parkview Village Living Center.
