Born June 8, 1923 in Benton, Ill., she was the daughter of Frank and Anna (Arasim) Nowikowski.
She was a secretary for the Mine Safety and Health Administration in Vincennes. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Bloomfield and served on the board of directors for the Shawnee Theatre.
Surviving relatives include: her nieces, Sally Batterton (Owen) of Bloomfield, Virginia Kimick of Springfield, Ill. and Judy Mansell (Ron) of Pearland, Tx.; great-nieces, Sarah Flemming (Les) of Virginia, Minn. and Laura McIntosh (Keven) of Bloomfield; great-great nieces, Isabella and Olivia McIntosh; and her canine companion, Sadie.She was preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Nowikowski, one sister, Helen Kimick and her parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 at Holy Name Catholic Church in Bloomfield with Father Michael Madden officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted noon (Eastern) 11:00 a.m. (Central) on Saturday, April 28 at Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton, Ill.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Rosary services are planned for 7:30 p.m.
