He was born Dec. 5, 1940, French Lick to Paul Henry and Dorothy Mae (Goldsmith) Oswald.
Jim retired from Westinghouse in Bloomington after 32 years. Jim was a veteran of the Air Force, then spent 20 years in the reserves. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by his wife Paula (Anderson) Oswald, Worthington; two children, Robert Brian (Katherine) Walden, Brazil; Constance Rene Walden, Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Jessica (James) Little; Brian Walden; two great grandchildren, Cameron & Evan; two step-children, Michael Allen (Angie) Firrone; Tiffany Firrone; six step-grandchildren, David, Kenya, Taylor, Raylyn, Rosie and Haley; three brothers, Paul, Ron & Gary Oswald; andtwo sisters, Yvonne Powell, Claudia Willard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, John.
Funeral service will be held at Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington, 1 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012.
Friends may call at Welch and Cornett 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday until the time of service
Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
