Opal June (Hasler) Soliday, 95, of Lyons, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Glenburn Home in Linton.

Born May 31, 1916 in Greene County, she was the daughter of William F. and Martha Nona (Humerickhouse) Hasler.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Surviving relatives include: one son, Ted and Susie Soliday of Lyons; two daughters, Lou Ann and Gary Andis of Hillsdale and June and David V.W. Owen of Indianapolis; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Soliday of Worthington; grandsons, Dan Soliday of Kettering, OH, Tim Soliday of Spencer, Barry Soliday of Farmer City, IL and Scott Andis of Martinsville; granddaughters, Tracy Soliday of Salem, Kelly McKee of Stonington, IL, Stacy Soliday of Stonington, IL, Nancy Fay of New Market, Maryland, Christy Priebe of Waynesville, OH, Sharon Davidson of Bloomfield and Jewellyn Andis of Clinton; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell W. Soliday on June 1, 2005; one son, Richard Lee Soliday; two brothers, Garland Hasler and David Hasler; and one sister, Alice Bailey.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19 at the Lyons United Methodist Church, with Rev. David V.W. Owen and Rev. Rose Sparks officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery in rural Lyons.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Lyons and one-hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
