Marjorie Maxine Sharr, 89, of Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 at her residence.

Born Oct. 4, 1922 in Newark, Ind., she was the daughter of Ivan and Amanda Ethel (Neill) Watkins.

Marjorie was a homemaker, she loved to cook, quilt and spend time with her family. She was a member of the Newark General Baptist Church.

Surviving relatives include her husband of 71 years, Tilman Sharr of Bloomfield; four daughters, Ethel Kathleen (Wayne) Workman of Solsberry, Sandra June (Garry) Ingram of Spencer, Trena Arlene (Perry) Gater of Bloomfield and Karen Gaye Sharr of Spencer. She has 10 grandchildren: Dennis Workman, Tracey Wagner, Jerry, Andy and Jim Ingram, Amy Bair, Niki Wilson, Lisa McKee, Carrie and Shannon Sparks; 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Joe, Ronnie and Pete Watkins, one sister, Mary Dyer and two grandsons, David Gator and Randy Workman.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Paul McHenry and Becky McHenry officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.

The family wishes any donations be made to the Newark Cemetery in Marjorie's name.
