Glenn R. Wells, 83, died Monday, June 4, 2012 at IU Health in Bloomington.
Mr. Wells was a Bloomfield resident. He graduated from Coal City High School. He then went on to become the owner/operator of Glenn Wells Oil Corporation in 1976 until he retired in 2006. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church, of Coal City, Freedom Masonic Lodge, and Carpenters Union.
He married Anna M. (Weatherwax) Wells on Oct. 29, 1949 and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Altha Wells; Son, Michael Glenn Wells; Sister, Edith Karns; four Brother-in-laws, Bob Killion, Orion "Bud" Karns, Johnny Shonk, & James Martin.
Survivors include, wife, Anna M. (Weatherwax) Wells, of Bloomfield; daughter, Amy L. Casebeer, of Coal City; son-in-Law, Kevin Casebeer, of Spencer; daughter-in-law, Karen Wells, of Arney; three grandsons, Aaron Wells, of Arney, Benjamin Wells and wife Kristen, of Mooresville, and Judson Casebeer and wife Jackie, of Spencer; two granddaughters, Carissa Colvin and husband Christopher, of Linton and Annalese Casebeer, of New Albany; two great-granddaughters, Nora M. Colvin, of Linton and Kennedy L. Casebeer, of Spencer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 3-6 p.m. with services to begin at 5 p.m. at the Worthington Community Building in the City Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Lung Association.
