Michael Joseph Morley, 59, of Bloomfield, lost his battle with cancer on June 21, 2012.

Michael was born in Indianapolis on June 20, 1953.

He attended St. Michael Catholic School and Cardinal Ritter High School in Indianapolis. He continued on to receive his bachelor's degree from Purdue University. Michael worked for Citizen's Energy Group for over 25 years, retiring in 2009 as the Director of Special Projects after serving many years as the Director of Underground Storage. Michael was an avid golfer, Purdue fan, and enjoyed carpentry work and spending time with his family. Michael was active for many years with the United Way, and was a long-time member of the Elks Lodge #866 in Linton, IN.

Michael is survived by wife Bonnie Emerson, daughters Megan Morley and Sarah Morley Schmitt (Michael), sister Kathleen Nagy, sister and brother-in-law Mary and Tim Koger, and nephews and niece. Michael is preceded in death by his father and mother, Herbert "Bud" R. Morley and Mary Ann Morley.

Visitation will be on Sunday June 24 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30pm in Stevens Mortuary at 5520 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday June 25 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3354 W. 30th St, Indianapolis, with a procession and burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery.
