Born June 2, 1930 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Charles Riggins and Mary Dailey.
She worked for Sarkes Tarzian, Pioneer and the Bloomfield Woolen Mill and attended the Hobbieville church.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Ted Blaker of Bloomfield; one son, James Odell Bland of Bloomington; one daughter, Diana Lynn Fordyce of Linton; step daughters, Linda Pyne of Bloomfield and Connie Howell of Muscatine, Iowa; six grandchildren, Angie Johnson of Coal City, Tammy Tisher of Bloomington, Mike Sherrard of Bloomfield, Heather Melichar of Ellettsville, Travis Bland of Bloomington and Jamie Bitner of Ellettsville, 13 great, grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren and nine step great, grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul O. Bland on April 3, 1989, one daughter, Pamela Whitlow, one step daughter, Virginia Jean Blaker and her parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Brother, Sam Hill officiating.
Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one-hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
