LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department activity log for July 20 to the 22 included: One refusal to leave; two frauds; two illegal burns; one title check; two follow-up investigations; two information requests; two utility assists after hours; one civil complaint; one repossessed vehicle; three accidents with property damage; one funeral escort; four medical/illness; two animal complaints; four suspicious vehicles/persons; four assists to other agencies; one harassment complaint; one theft; three welfare checks/concerns; one fire department assistance; one animal/canine removal; one domestic/neighbor; and 20 traffic stops.

* July 22 -- LPD Officers Paul Clark and Michael Watts were dispatched to an apartment complex on 7th St. SE regarding an argument in the parking lot. It appeared to the officers Regonel L. Petoskey II, 43, of Linton, was intoxicated. Petoskey failed both field sobriety tests and had a .21 percent blood alcohol content. He was arrested on a preliminary charge of public intoxication, and released after posting $500 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 3.

* July 21 -- LPD Det. Sgt. Josh Goodman responded to a three-car accident with property damage on S.R. 59, at the intersection of F St. SW. Megan Frye was stopped in the northbound lane of SR 59, preparing to turn left onto F St., and Ives Wehmeier was stopped behind her. William Wagner was traveling northbound on SR 59, when he looked up to see the vehicles stopped in front of him. Wagner told police he could not stop in time. Wagner's vehicle hit Wehmeier's vehicle, which was pushed into the rear end of Frye's. Total damage is estimated between $5,001 to $10,000.

* July 21 -- LPD Officer Michael Watts conducted a traffic stop for alleged failure to stop at an automatic signal while traveling west on S.R. 54 at the Main Street intersection. The driver, Randy Lee Miller, 28, of Linton, had a suspended license. Miller was arrested and transported to the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended. Released after posting $1,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on July 27.

* July 20 -- LPD Officer Brock Garrison conducted a traffic stop on a car for alleged failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to use a turn signal. Officer Michael Watts arrived on scene with his K-9 to do an exterior sweep of the vehicle. Before doing the sweep, officers asked if there were any items that would get a positive alert from the K-9, at which time Douglas W. Wilson, 40, of Linton, handed over a bag containing what field tested positive for marijuana. Wilson was transported to the GCSD on a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana. Released after posting $1,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on July 27.

GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT JAIL LOG

* July 23 ---- Robin G. Evans, 59, of Brazil, was arrested by the Worthington Police Department on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Bond set at $4,000.

* July 22 ---- Justin F. Abel, 24 of rural Bloomfield, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a warrant-petition to revoke suspended sentence. No bond set pending a court appearance.

* July 22 ---- Regionel L. Petoskey, 43, of Linton, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on a preliminary charge of public intoxication. Released after posting $500 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 3.

* July 21 ---- Steven J. Gibson, 22, of Linton, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. Released after posting $1,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on July 30.

* July 21 ---- Randy L. Miller, 28, of Linton, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended. Released after posting $1,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on July 27.

* July 21 ---- Jason D. Fisher, 29, of Worthington, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction. Released after posting $12,500 bond. Court date set for 9:30 a.m. on July 27.

* July 21 ---- Douglas W. Wilson, 40, of Linton, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana. Released after posting $1,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on July 27.

* July 20 ---- Matthew D. Rodriguez, 31, of Coal City, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Released after posting $4,000 bond. Court date set for 8:30 a.m. on July 27.

* July 20 ---- Donald K. Thatcher, 50, of Bloomington, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a parole warrant. No bond set.

* July 20 ---- David W. Neal, 53, of Linton, was arrested by the Greene County Sheriff's Department on a preliminary charge of invasion of privacy. No bond set pending a court appearance.

* July 20 ---- Kent F. Wall, 50, of rural Linton, was arrested by the Linton Police Department on two counts of intimidation. Released after posting $5,000 bond. Court date set for 9:30 a.m. on July 27.
