* Aug. 10 -- Ian E. Long, 38, Linton, was arrested on a warrant issued for preliminary charges of criminal mischief and intimidation. He was being held on an initial bond of $225,000 pending a court hearing. Indiana State Police Trooper Crozion was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 10 -- Jacquelyn L. Akers, 51, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior and resisting law enforcement. She was being held on an initial bond of $9,000 pending a court hearing. LPD Officer Paul Clark was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 11 -- Kevin Hatfield, 35, Jasonville, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery on a minor. He was released on $4,000 bond on Aug. 12 and is scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing on Aug. 17. Jasonville Police Officer Duguay was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 11 -- Kassandra A. Flick, 18, Solsberry, was arrested on a warrant issued for a preliminary charge of theft. She was being held on a $4,000 initial bond pending a hearing. Lyons Town Marshal Ron Sparks was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 12 -- John D. Jerrell, Jr., 23, Jasonville, was arrested on a preliminary charge of public intoxication and resisting law enforcement. He was released on $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing on Aug. 17. LPD Officer Watts was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 12 -- Joshua A. Penick, 23, Jasonville, was arrested on a preliminary charge of public intoxication and resisting law enforcement. He was released on $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing on Aug. 17. LPD Officer Watts was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 12 -- Scott Stephens, 24, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of public intoxication and resisting law enforcement. He was released on $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court for an initial hearing on Aug. 17. LPD Officer Watts was the arresting officer.

* Aug. 12 -- Darin J. Coverstone, 41, Jasonville, was arrested on a warrant issued for preliminary charges of stalking and three counts of invasion of privacy. He was being held without bond pending a court hearing. Jasonville Police Officer Brian Pilant was the arresting officer.

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday, Aug. 10 through Sunday, Aug. 12 included one incident of trespassing, one breaking and entering, one illegal burn, one title check, three follow-up investigations, three requests for information, two fights, one bar fight, three juvenile/delinquent incidents, three assists to the utility department after hours, three incidents of vandalism, two custody disputes/exchanges, one public intoxication, one accident with property damage, one funeral escort, one lost and found, four medical/illness runs, one alarm, one report of a suspicious vehicle and/or person, three assists to other agencies, four complaints of harassment, three possibly intoxicated drivers, two traffic control details, one attempted burglary, two reports of theft, one welfare check/concern, one domestic dispute, one report of theft that was unfounded, one battery incident and 12 traffic stops.

* Aug. 10 -- Jacquelyn L. Akers, 51, Linton, was arrested by LPD Officer Paul Clark after he was dispatched around 6 p.m. to an alleyway behind a residence on the report of a possibly intoxicated person -- Akers. Before Clark and other officers arrived, the suspect got into a 1995 white Lincoln Towncar and drove away. A witness on the scene was familiar with the suspect and a few minutes later, officers found her standing next to her car at her residence. The police report states that Akers was believed to be intoxicated and that she resisted forcibly and attempted to run away when taken into custody. She was transported to the Greene County Jail where she reportedly failed standard field sobriety testing and tested with an alcohol concentration of .15 BrAC. She was booked in on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior and resisting law enforcement and was being held on $9,000 bond.
