Jayne R. "Shelly" (Goad) Minks, 53, of Coalmont, passed away at 7:10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born April 23, 1959 in Linton, to Ira Harold Goad and Bonnie Jean (Grady) Goad.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Jerry L. Minks of Coalmont, whom she married on May 5, 1990; daughter, Melinda Minks of Worthington; sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher Paul and Carol Minks of Eastern Heights, Ind., Michael Paul Goad of Jasonville, Anthony and Sara Minks of Worthington; sisters, Linda Keller of Jasonville, Melody Goad of Jasonville; brother, Jerry Goad of Jasonville; sister-in-law, Edna Minks of Bloomfield; several grandchildren; aunts, Nancy and Bob Caddell of Jasonville, IN, Sherry Slaughter of Jupiter, Fla., Mary Mayo of Jupiter, Fla.; uncles, Gary Grady of Jasonville, James and Dorothy Grady of Jasonville; nephew, Greg Keller; step-niece, Linda Minks; step-nephew, Michael Minks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; uncles, Dave Slaughter, Bo Mayo; grandmother, Mildred Grady.
Jayne was a 1978 Shakamak High School graduate. She had worked for Woods Wire, GE in Bloomington and Keller Aluminum.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, with visitation scheduled from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral service is at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Brad West officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
