Desmonda M. Bowersock, 87, of Bloomfield , passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born July 1, 1925 in Greene County, Ind. to Everett and Gertrude (Vandeventer) Bingham.
She was self employed owner and operator of Don's Grill in Bloomfield. She was a member of the Mansions in Heaven Church and a 50-year member of the Bloomfield Eastern Star.
Surviving relatives include her daughter Judy (Mike) Branstetter of Bloomfield, two granddaughters, Michelle (Bob) Richardson and Amber Branstetter all of Bloomfield, three great grandchildren, Dylan and Delany Richardson and Cameron Branstetter. She has two sisters, Thelma Shute of Bloomfield and Phyllis Tungate of Elnora, one brother Jerry Bingham of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband Don Bowersock on October 31, 2000, her siblings, Helen Little, Wilbert "Bud" Bingham, Ed Bingham, Lois Shelton and her parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and 1 p.m. Friday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Erin Raper officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes all donations be made to Grandview Cemetery or Mansions in Heaven Church in care of Jenkins Funeral Home.
