Brian W. Thompson, 39, of Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012.
Born Aug. 9, 1973 in Columbus, Ind., he was the son of D. Wayne Thompson and Regina Rosa (Bragg) Hodges.
Brian worked at Crane for six years as a Mechanical Engineering Technician. He loved to hunt, fish, canoe, kayak and riding his four-wheeler. He loved being with his children and taking them swimming in the quarry. He loved the outdoors and the simple things in life, sitting by the campfire roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. He attended the Harvest Community Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife Lori J. Thompson of Bloomfield, his children Emily Dawn and Derek Robert Wayne Thompson both of Taylorsville, father and step-mother D. Wayne (Linda) Thompson of Taylorsville, mother and step-father Regina Rosa (John) Hodges of Bloomington, sister Crystal (Tony) Dell and their daughter Malena Dell of Morgantown, step-brother David (Susan Boroughs) Whitehead of Taylorsville, step-sister Lori (Randy) Lee of Indianapolis, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Sondra Emery of Bloomfield, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Tami and Brian Allen and their children Alyssa and Wyatt of Odon, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Billye and Alan Beasley of Bloomfield, brother-in-law Bub Emery of Bloomfield and his grandparents Dave and Rosemary Fields of Florida, he also has several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Emma Thompson, Ralph Bragg and Orville Jaggers.
Friends may call from 10:30 on Friday until the hour of service at Harvest Community Church in Bloomfield.
Services will be at noon Friday at Harvest Community Church in Bloomfield with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery.
