WestGate Academy to host congressional forum on national security issues

Tuesday, October 2, 2012

CRANE ---- WestGate at Crane Academy will host Indiana's 8th District Congressional Candidate Forum on Oct. 11.

The forum will feature Republican incumbant candidate, Larry Bucshon, and Democratic candidate, Dave Crooks.

The focus of the forum will be on national security in southern Indiana.

The Candidate's Congressional Forum offers a unique opportunity to discuss the evolving role of national security in the 21st Century and its impact on Indiana's 8th Congressional District.

"The Forum will be an innovative and thought provoking opportunity for the candidates to communicate and provide the public with their positions on the national security community in the 8th District. The candidate's presentation, focused on the state and future of national security in Southern Indiana, will be followed by a short question and answer period. Questions, limited to national security issues as they affect the 8th Congressional District, will be solicited from the audience, according to Melissa Dyal, one of the organizers with Stimulus Engineering.

There will be a social with hors d'oeuvres served beginning at 4 p.m. and the Forum will commence at 4:30 p.m. This event will take place at the WestGate Academy Conferencing & Training Center at the WestGate @ Crane Technology Park and is free to the public.

It is sponsored by the WestGate @ Crane Authority and the Crane Federal Credit Union. If you would like more information on the Congressional Forum, please contact Melissa Dyal at 812-863-2756 or by email at melissa.dyal@stimulusengineering.com or academy@stimulusengineering.com.
