Rev. Max S. Skinner, 90, of Bloomfield, passed away at 5:24 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at Lyons Health and Living Center.
Born Feb. 11, 1922 in Greene County, he was the son of Harvey and Caroline (Hash) Skinner.
He was a minister for 54 years at Sharkey Church and a butcher for the Bloomfield Locker Plant. He served in World War II in the United States Navy.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Marjorie (Bland) Skinner of Bloomfield; three sons, Ron Skinner, Bobby Don Skinner and David Mark Skinner all of Bloomfield; three brothers, Vernon Skinner of Marion, Miles Skinner of Bloomfield and Marion Skinner of Boston, Massachusetts; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and six brothers.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday, October 6 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Steve Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Tulip Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
