The Eastern Greene Lady Thunderbird volleyball team continued its Southwestern Indiana Athletic Conference winning streak.
EG pushed its conference record this season to 7-0 after a 25-11, 25-13, 25-8 victory over North Central at Farmersburg Thursday night.
The Lady Thunderbirds, ranked No. 4 in Class 2A, now has an overall record of 28-2.
They have now won 30 SWIAC matches in a row, one away from the record set by the Bloomfield over a decade ago.
"The girls played pretty well tonight," said EG coach Gina Ingram. "Overall this was a good match for us. The girls had a lot of intensity from the beginning to the end.
"The girls were really into this match. I think it might have been one of our better matches here lately. I was very pleased with our communication. They showed a lot of enthusiasm and this was a real team effort tonight."
Peyton Gilliatt had 16 digs and eight kills while Kelsey Fleener contributed four kills, 10 digs, 11 service points and one ace.
Eastern Greene will try to claim a fourth consecutive SWIAC title Monday night at Shakamak.
