Youngster recovering after falling off parade float

Monday, October 8, 2012

A 3-year-old Linton girl was injured during Sunday's Bloomfield Apple Festival parade when she fell off of a float.

Brynley Franklin, the daughter of Wes and Halea Franklin, was riding on the Greene County General Hospital float and wanted to walk with the adults when the mishap occurred.

"She was trying to get off the float. She fell when she was climbing down and her groin/hip area was run over by the back wheels of the trailer," according to her mother.

She was transported by Greene County Ambulance to Greene County General Hospital in Linton where she was initially treated in the emergency room.

The youngster was then transported to IU Health Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis by ambulance.

Luckily, her injuries do not appear to be serious.

On Monday morning, Brynley was listed in "good" condition, according to IU Health Public Relations Coordinator Kris Karol.

"We had several tests, all of which have been normal," her mother commented. "She is doing good. Eating and smiling."

Brynley was released from the hospital by mid-afternoon Monday.

See the pictures......this is 2 miles from our home in Virginia..

Take a good look at what RAY LAHOOD OF NHTSA AND DONALD KAROL OF THE NTSB and every pubic safety official all over the United States got and they still choose to try and shut down life saving causes? What is wrong with America Today...

You want the truth? "You Cant Handle The Truth"

We have incompetent safety officials who want us to pay for safety.

at www.dangeroustrailers.org we think we should not have to "Pay For Safety" do you?

First of all I'am so happy that all will turn out well for the little girl and her family. :) Praise the Lord.... 2nd I'd like to say we are raising kids today to be ultra safe and take no risk. A life with no risk leads to a very humdrum and boring life, of course we need to be careful but hayrides, fair rides, and etc. is a part of growing up well rounded. Lets be careful of making laws that make us afraid of being adventurous and a little daring. Who will defend our country or make the first trip to Mars if we're afraid to take a chance? Drifter

Knowing the parents of this little girl , I'm sure she was being watched carefully . This was an accident .
