IFDA awards this scholarship in memory of Frank W. Moore to recognize the understanding of, and dedication to, the philosophy and standards of funeral service to a deserving mortuary science student.
Hubbell was also awarded the Education Foundation Scholarship and the Isaac Ball Fellow Scholarship.
Selection is done by a committee of the Indiana Funeral Education Foundation.
Hubbell is a student at Vincennes University and was a high school intern with Cox Funeral Home in Jasonville.
She has worked part-time with Welch & Cornett Funeral Homes in Linton and Worthington for over two years. She plans to graduate in 2013.
Founded in 1880, the Indiana Funeral Directors Association is the professional organization serving Indiana's funeral service professionals with member services, advocacy and education. One of the oldest funeral service associations in the nation, IFDA represents 1200 licensed funeral directors in Indiana.
