Linton-Stockton senior tennis player Cody Kocher will return to the court in Saturday's IHSAA Individual Singles Regional.

The tournament is set to take place at Bedford North Lawrence High School and will feature four players who were individual winners in previous tournament matches.

Kocher will play in the second match of the event when he takes on Jerod Hamilton of Evansville Central.

The opening match pits Columbus East's Seth Myers against Jordy Rigsby of Jeffersonville.

The semifinals are slated to get underway at 10 a.m. with the title match set for 2 p.m.

Kocher was the lone member of the Miners to post a win in the team's 5-1 sectional loss to host North Daviess on Sept. 27 while Hamilton, a freshman, remained alive after his team's 3-2 loss Evansville Mater Dei in the first round of the Mount Vernon Sectional on the same day.

Kocher currently sports a 9-8 record while Hamilton sits at 25-1.

The winner of Saturday's tournament will advance to next week's singles tournament State Finals at Park Tudor High School in Indianapolis.

There is no admission charge for this weekend's event.
