Robert Edward "RE" Johnson, 80, of Bloomfield, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at his residence.
Born June 2, 1932 in Bloomfield, he was the son of Freemont and Alta (Huffman) Johnson.
He was a car salesman operating a Ford dealership in Jasonville. He served his country in the Korean War in the United States Army and was a member of the Worthington American Legion and VFW.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Debra Anne and Mary Lee; one son, Allen Ray Johnson; brothers, Casey Johnson of Spencer and James Johnson of Bloomfield; one sister, Sue Brown of Worthington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill and Jackie Johnson, sisters, Anna Johnson, Alice Robertson and Georgia Hains.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Public visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
