Consider joining Ladies Auxiliary

To the Editor:

The VFW Ladies Auxiliary President Josephine Pahmeier likes to make cookies and purchase donuts and cookies for the National Guard Troop 1-151 at Linton.

Two of the boys transferred to different places: Sgt. Scott Lower to Jasper and Kenneth Manard to Evansville. She had went to both boys and took them things to eat.

I would like to encourage young women and girls to join the Auxiliary. They could really use the help. We do a lot for the veterans and their families. You could join through your grandfather, father or brother.

If you are interested in joining you could call the president and she will give you papers to fill out.

The Ladies Auxiliary meets the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m.
