She was born Feb.17, 1931, in Clay County, the daughter of Ben W. and Ruby E. (Redenbarger) Purcell.
She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance in Indianapolis several years ago and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star #140, both of Linton.
Survivors include her husband, Muril Blume of Linton, to whom she was married June 24, 1956; a daughter, Ingle Jill (Kip) Hoffer of Linton; a granddaughter, Cristina (Trent Spencer) Hoffer of Linton; a sister, N. Jean (John) Weaver of Martinsville; three sisters-in-law, Roma Kay Stark of Westlake Village, Calif., and Louise and Virginia Blume, both of Houston, Tx.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Julie Hoffer.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton with Nyle Riegle officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m.Tuesday and at 9 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of the service.
