Herman 'Jack' Rose, 86, of Worthington, passed away 3:08 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at his residence.

Jack was born, Nov. 12, 1925, in Switz City, to Henry and Ossa (Harper) Rose.

He was a lineman building power lines, also worked on pipelines, owned a timber business and operated a sawmill. He was a member of Switz City Full Gospel Church, was an Army Veteran of WW II who served in Germany, France and South Pacific.

Jack is survived by four daughters, Mary (Charles) Miller, Worthington; Jackie (Ed) Michael, Bloomfield; Susie Emery, Franklin; Carol (Steve) Axsom, Jasonville; six grandchildren, John Michael, David Miller, Stacy Thompson, Carrie Fish, Trish Emery and Justin Axsom; 10 great grandchildren, Makenzie, Dakota, Sam, Cole, Addison, Logan, Kyleigh, Caleb, Emily and Kendra; sister, Argetha Mullen, Avon; brother, James Rose, Titusville, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan Rose, Nov. 1, 2008, one infant son; and four brothers.

Funeral service will be at Switz City Full Gospel Church, 1 p.m. Monday, October 22 with Rev. David Miller and Rev. Sam Hill officiating.

Friends may call at Switz City Full Gospel Church, 3-8 p.m. Sunday and after 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday.

Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
