Born July 4, 1919 in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of Emery and Clovie M. (Flake) Cook.
She was a dietitian for the Bloomfield Nursing Home and attended Pleasant Ridge Church.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Mildred Lorene Deem (William) of Avon; one son, Robert E. Groomer (Madonna) of Plainfield; two brothers, Charles Cook of Bloomfield and Jack Cook of Florida; grandchildren, Ann E. Moore and Robin A. Groomer; great grandchildren, Toby Deem, Elleanor Moore, Helena Moore, Dominic R. Groomer, Alena Groomer and Alana Groomer; and one great, great, grandchild, Jaiden Ruthanne Deem.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Groomer; her second husband, Ralph B. Field; a grandson, Mark C. Deem; brothers, Wilburn Cook, Max Cook, Chuck Cook, Herschel Cook, Pete Cook, Joe Cook and Jim Cook; sisters, Mary Owens, Dorothy Sexton and Patsy Stewart; and her parents.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Darryl Bogatay officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Public visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and one-hour prior to service on Friday.
